David Jones News

The Celebrities starting line-up is becoming clearer for Graham, but Graham may have to move David Jones into the back four.
Graham Taylor is confident he knows what his starting line-up will be on Sunday, but there are a couple of problem positions he still needs to iron out.

Talking before the Celebs had their afternoon training session, the manager believed he'd got the measure of his squad now but he was worrying over two vital areas.

"With only one more benching to go I've got a good idea of what my team is going to be but I've got a couple of positions that have given me great concern" he said.

"I'm watching every aspect of them, but I've just got this one problem situation about the right back and centre back positions."

Danny Young and Nick Pickard are competing for right back while Graham thinks he has only one centre back - Thomas Craig. Could David Jones be the answer?

"David won't get in as a midfielder, we have better midfielder players than him, but we're short at the back and it is a worry."

Graham's worries deepened when he pondered the strength of the Legends team and how hungry they were going to be for victory.

"If I'd still been involved in professional football last year I'd have wanted the Legends to thrash the Celebrities and because that didn't happen there'll have been some mickey taking going on, they'll have suffered a little.

"So, I know what's going to happen this year. They'll be serious about this game and we're going to be stretched."

The tension is building up.
