Alex Lawler may not be the loudest member of the Celebrity squad, but he’s proving himself to be a master of the practical joke.
After the excitement and drama of the public vote last night when goalkeeper Jim Alexander was voted out to the great relief of Patrick McGuiness and Phil Tufnell, the weary celebs retired to bed for what they hoped would be a good night’s sleep.
But Alex had other ideas. Earlier that day while on his own the goalkeeper held up an alarm clock and a piece of paper with the words ‘This alarm will self-destruct at 5am’ scrawled on it.
A few minutes later a serious-looking Alex reappeared with another clock and another message that said ‘so will this one’ as he stood outside one of his fellow Celebrities’ bedrooms – but which one?
However, that still wasn’t enough for Alex. Soon after midnight with everyone tucked up, the actor got out of bed and filled six condoms with water – the third time he’s played practical jokes with the rubberwear this week. Why he thought he needed them in the Training Camp is anyone’s guess, but they’ve clearly come in handy.
Alex then pinned a ransom note on the locker wall that read, “Hey Frodo, you don’t deserve the joker card. You should be more careful. So, if you want to see the rest of your card I want 10 mango smoothies and seven pieces of fruit in the bottom right empty locker before breakfast!”
