BIOGRAPHY
Peter Reid won every domestic trophy going with Everton, winning the League title, the FA Cup and the League Cup (twice). Reid’s dominance of midfield was crucial to Everton’s triumphs. He also tasted success in Europe, winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.
His tough-tackling performances earned him 13 caps for England including appearances in the 1986 World Cup. When manager of Sunderland, Peter had a Top 40 single released in his honour titled "Cheer Up Peter Reid". Newcastle fans changed the lyrics for the terraces, and no doubt we will be hearing their adopted version at The Match!
