BIOGRAPHY
Ian Rush is Liverpool’s record goalscorer and one of the deadliest forwards ever to play the game. He hit 346 goals in 658 league appearances for the Reds, winning five League championships, three FA Cups, five League Cups and a European Cup. He was crowned the PFA player of the year in 1984.
In 1987 Rush joined Italian giants Juventus. He remains the Welsh record goal scorer with 28 goals in 76 games, but sadly didn’t get to play at a major championship. However, he did score the winner against the World Champions Germany in 1991 at Cardiff Arms Park.
