BIOGRAPHY
Gary Pallister formed a stoic and rock-like partnership with Steve Bruce at the heart of Manchester United's defence during the club's most successful decade to date - the 1990s. Pallister made over 300 appearances for the Red Devils and with his fantastic timing, almost faultless reading of the game and strength of tackle, he made many a striker's life fruitless while netting 12 times himself at the other end.
Unfortunately for Gary, he left Old Trafford the season before United won only their second European Cup trophy, but did spend three more terms playing at the highest level with his first club, Middlesbrough.
