BIOGRAPHY
There’s no doubting Darren’s athletic prowess - he won gold at the Athens Olympics in the 4x100m, silver in the 200m at Sydney and has been a successful athlete for the past 14 years. But Darren is also a keen footballer who has spent two successful seasons with Newport and with Weymouth FC before returning to athletics.
Being able to sprint 100m in 10.14 seconds has obvious advantages on a football field, but Darren isn’t just about speed. He believes if he hadn’t been a successful athlete, he would have become a professional footballer.
