Why is the vote page not loading?

• The vote page appears as a pop-up window and will load on top of the Sky One greatest sporting legend page. Please check that the window is not already open on your desktop.
• Voting is closed from 12am on Sunday until 8.40pm on Saturday evening and the voting page will not be accessible during this time.
• If any error appears on the voting page once loaded – please click refresh.
• If page is taking a significant time to load – this is likely to be owing to significant site traffic – please return to the site at a later date.

How do I vote online?

• Click on Vote Now on the Greatest Sporting Legend homepage
• Select your preferred candidate from the list of those outlined on the shortlist on the left hand side of voting page.
• Having highlighted your preferred legend, enter the security keyword outlined in the grey box under the heading Security Word.
• Fill in the remaining criteria and scroll down to the bottom of the window to the submit button.
• Click on the button marked Submit

What is a security word (and what do I do with it?)

• A security word helps secure against the rigging of online votes. Each user is instructed to enter a unique set of characters when submitting their vote, it is these characters that make up the Security word
• The security word is located in the light grey box on the vote page to the right hand side of the heading Security Word.
• Having highlighted your preferred legend, enter these characters from the grey box into the box directly below it. Then simply complete the remainder of form and press Submit.
• If you are having problems interpreting this security word you can access the audio version of these characters by clicking on the underlined blue text adjacent to this box. By doing so an audio recording of these characters will play on your PC. Simply type these characters into the Security word box as you hear them.

Why can I not see all of the contenders?

• You can scroll up and down the page clicking on and holding the blue navigation bar on the right hand side of the voting window. Simply click on this bar with your left mouse button and pull down. This will cause the page to scroll down – where you will find the remaining nominees (there are 10 in total) and the submit button.

How do I submit my vote?

• As outlined above, fill in all relevant criteria and scroll down to submit button on bottom of vote page using blue bar on right hand side of page. Click on submit with your left hand mouse button.
