Amanda Byram
Born in Dublin in 1973, Amanda broke through into television presenting the wake-up show Ireland AM in 1999. Amanda spent two years on the show, after which she kept up the early mornings with a move to England and Channel 4 for The Big Breakfast. Amanda co-presented the show with Richard Bacon and Mike McClean right up until it ended in 2002.
Following the end of the show, Amanda went state-side to present Paradise Hotel; a reality show which saw 12 guests given the opportunity to live together in an exclusive resort. Each week, viewers at home not only had the chance to vote a guest out, but they could also win a place themselves! Needless to say the show proved popular and Fox have since sold the format to ten countries worldwide.
Amanda also spent 2003 presenting the Miss World ceremony in a year which saw her fellow Irish native win the title. In 2004 Amanda moved from Miss World to the The Swan - a beauty pageant with a difference. In the show, self-proclaimed ugly ducklings were given the unique opportunity to realize their dreams of becoming beautiful. Their dreams came true but by exercising extreme measures, particularly through plastic surgery.
Amanda's other presenting work includes Liquid News and Hot TV.
Having made a name for herself stateside, Amanda is the obvious choice to bring a UK version of one of America's biggest shows to our shores. Each week she'll be bringing you the top celebrity stories, glamour and gossip in equal ET sized dollops.
Catch her on the show from Friday 7th January.
