Angel
Born in Ireland in 1727, Angel spent his early years, drinking womanising and stealing, until a late-night snog, with the rather toothy Darla, transformed him into the vampy Angelus. One hundred and fifty years later, after a spot of terrorising the neighbourhood, Angel killed a gypsy girl and became cursed with a soul.
Stunned by his newfound conscience, Angel laid off the human bloodsucking and roamed America, landing in Sunnydale, California, where he ran into a slayer named, Buffy. The sexual chemistry between the pair reached fever pitch when they shared a kiss causing Angel's vampire face to present itself. Understandably freaked by her usually good-looking boyfriend's protruding forehead, Buffy realised he was the very thing she'd been commissioned to slay.
After a brief spell apart, Angel and Buffy were reunited on her 17th birthday when they finally got it on, revealing a surprising catch to Angel's gypsy curse and rendering him vampire-like forever.
After 100 years in Hell, Angel returned to LA and set up Angel Investigations with the heroic Doyle and the delightful Cordelia. Next came the arrival of Wesley, an old face from Sunnydale, and Gunn, a vamp-slaying vigilante.
