The Race driving duel between the Boys and Girls resumed this morning on a rain soaked 4X4 track with a re-match between Brian and Melissa. In a race reminiscent of the tortoise and hare, Brian trailed Melissa over the first 2 of the 3 scheduled laps before beating her by a whisker after a great manouevre on the final hill.

Both drivers were a muddy mess when they emerged from their buggies and Brian, in his exuberance, embraced Team Captain Eddie, sending him sprawling into a dirty puddle. Whether this will affect Eddie’s feelings about Brian is yet to be seen. The victory gave the Boys the choice of Monster Trucks in the afternoon’s Main Event. Team Captain Eddie opted for the lesser powered Lil’ Devil (sporting a Big Lock Chevrolet 540cc engine generating 1500 bhp) leaving the Girls with the beast that is the Big Foot UK Truck, boasting an impressive 4-litre supercharged Ford Racing Methanol engine delivering up to 19,000 bhp.
