Phillip is also the director of the highly acclaimed ‘Cirque Surreal’ – a project that originally took two years to produce and is regarded as a bench mark for productions blending modern physical theatre with traditional human equilibrium and aerial gymnastic skills as well as modern dance, drama and humour. His second Cirque Surreal production entitled “Voyagers” was performed to huge acclaim at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival in 2002 and the Dublin Arts Festival. The show was also an instant hit performing to full audiences in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Phillip’s expertise in performance direction is held in high esteem internationally. He has been invited to judge artistic performances in International Festivals in China, America, Mexico, Russia, Monte Carlo, Holland and Italy. His productions have been staged in France, Germany, Iceland, Beirut, China, Singapore, Portugal, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Australia and Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and throughout the UK.

Phillip also owns and runs Britain’s largest circus company, the Arts Exchange. The Arts Exchange have huge resources at their fingertips, including access to hundreds of the most talented and charismatic circus artists from around the world, a warehouse full of costumes, and circus tents which hold audiences of more than 1,000 people.

The Arts Exchange has a simple mission statement: “to create and present the highest quality of international entertainment.” Over the last twenty years, they have established a first class track record in initiating and running high class circuses both in the UK and abroad. Their clients have ranged from Saudi princes to the Chinese state.
