2007 is the year gaming got big. Gamer Dave Berry, gaming widow Emma Griffiths, hostess Keeley Hazell and behind the scenes reporter Zoe Hardman present exclusive coverage of the Championship Gaming Series (CGS) during Championship Gaming Week.

Broadcast nightly on Sky Two at 10pm from the 24th to 30th December, Championship Gaming Week brings you all the action from the UK draft, the 2007 UK Championships and inaugural CGS World Final in Los Angeles.

The CGS is a worldwide professional gaming league where teams of professional gamers battle it out on games like FIFA 2007, Project Gotham Racing 3, Counter-Strike: Source and Dead or Alive 4.

In December, twelve teams from across the globe will head to Sony Studios in Los Angeles to compete for a prize purse of $1,000,000 (USD) at the inaugural CGS World Final. The UK is sending two teams, the London Mint and Birmingham Salvo.

But before the Mint and Salvo head to LA, they need players. In the UK Draft, 40 of Britain’s top gamers go head to head in the hope they can impress the team's general managers to get selected. The teams will then go head to head in a face to face showdown to decide who will be the 2007 CGS UK Champions.

Each city-based team comprises 10 professional gamers who will battle it out on four games; Valve’s Counter-Strike ®: Source ® and EA’S FIFA 2007 on PC and Tecmo’s Dead or Alive ® 4 (DOA4) and Microsoft Game Studios Project Gotham Racing ® 3 (PGR3) on the Xbox 360.

To see who makes it through the UK Draft, who wins the UK Championships and how the Brits get on at the CGS World Final in LA watch Championship Gaming Week (24th to 30th December) on Sky Two at 10pm. With a repeat the same night on Sky One and Sky One HD at 12.00am.
