When a fan commented that she was looking beautiful today, she retaliated by saying: "Yes, but my golf is ugly."
• The All*Star Cup event at the Celtic Manor Resort finished in dramatic fashion live on Sky One with Europe staging a late rally to snatch victory on the last hole in the final match. Damian Lewis and Ronan Keating won the 18th hole against Michael Douglas and Mark Spitz in front of several thousand adoring fans to secure a 91-89 win for the European team.
